When the time comes to make plans for a child’s first educational experience, Wallingford has a wide range of options.   Each year the Wallingford Public Library-Children’s Section and WE CARE partner to offer a Saturday (usually in January) PreK Information Fair in the library’s Community Room.  All licensed child care providers are invited to participate. This allows families to visit/meet the staff from many of the preschool sites.  This annual event is listed in the library, at the Family Resource Center and in the local paper.

The list of preschool options features providers who offer slots for children ages –birth to 5 years only.  Other providers on the State of CT listing offer before/after school care for children ages 5-12.  Making a choice for the right place for your child is one each parent must make based upon personal contact.
